On being more like the cool kids, lucky girl syndrome, and Irish bangers.
And some things irking my brain right now.
Sometimes I look at my kids and I think, wow. They don’t have phones, they don’t have booze, they don’t have watches, they don’t even know what time it is. They don’t have anything but trust in the world and trust in me and their dad that they will be ok. I’m amazed by this because if I don’t have my phone in my hand every second, I freak out. If I look down at my wrist and realize I’m not wearing my fit bit I start to panic because I won’t know if my heart rate goes off the normal range. If I’m at home in my house with a clock, an iPad, and a computer, and my phone goes missing, even for a few minutes, I feel my heart start to race. At any moment something could happen and I might not be prepared.
